Banana Swirl “Nice Cream”

Banana Swirl “Nice Cream”

This recipe was actually inspired by an episode of Daniel Tiger and yes you read that right – it’s a kids show lol. In the episode Daniel Tiger’s mom freezes bananas for their dessert and makes banana swirl. My son Presley was so excited when he saw this that I decided to make it ourselves only I added cashew butter in to give it the creaminess of real ice cream with the added protein and healthy fats to balance blood sugar from the sugar in the bananas. It also makes it more filling and satisfying. This has been my son’s favourite since he was little and now has become a dessert hit for everyone. It’s also the easiest recipe to make with only 2 ingredients. I would highly recommend having a high powered blender for this recipe as I found the average blender is really difficult and time consuming to break down the frozen bananas.

So here is the famous banana swirl or what my son calls it banana squirrel!

Recipe:
4 frozen banana slices
2 tbsp. cashew butter
1-2 tsp pf water if needed for desired consistency
